Rajashthan Royals IPL

Rajashthan Team in IPL : Rajasthan team is known as Rajasthan Royals. Rajasthan Royals is a winner of the first IPL (Indian Premere League) 2008 by beating the Chennai Superkings on June 1 2008 in Mumbai. Last year, Shane Warne played an important role in winning Rajashthan Royals Team and he is also the captain of the Rajashthan Royals Team. The great and interesting thing about the team is that the team is captained and coached by the former Australian captain and all time best leg spinner bowler Shane Warne. Just like Chennai Superkings, Rajasthan Royals team has also no Icon Player and also they don't have any brand ambassador for their team like any other IPL team. Rajasthan Royals is the only IPL team in 2008 to have a both foriegn captain and coach. The mascot of the Rajashthan Royal Team is a lion, called as "Moochu Singh". The team theme song is 'Halla Bol' which is sung by Rajashthani based famous singer Ila Arun. Rajasthan Royals team is bagged by Emerging Media Group and the CEO of Emerging Media Group is Manoj Badale. There are also some other small firms in it who has also invested in the team. They all had to pay around $67 million to acquire the Rajashthan Royal team. Earlier, when the IPL first series started, everyone believed that Rajasthan Royals will be the weakest team in all the eight team ans they have also lost their first match with Delhi Daredevils by 9 wickets.

Rajashthan Royals Team played overall 16 match (including semi final and final) by winning 13 matches and 3 lost. Rajasthan Royals team dominated the first IPL series chart and remain the top in the Table. But with the absence of Sohail Tanvir and Kamran Akmal they have lost their winning player in IPL2009 as no Pakistan players are participating in the Indian Premiere League 2009.
